A nice holder for the phone in the center console (above the cupholder) will be a challenge. Thanks that would be great. Got doubts about this for me as I don't have rear camera as an option. There will be no cam controller in your car. Even if you access the composite-input, there is no menu item to activate it. You need an GVIF interface with CAN connection (Google it). Then you could switch on the screen via one of the physical buttons. Smartphone navigation on in-dash screen - gibbyd - 14-11-2012 11:34pm (14-11-2012 11:27am)tplus Wrote: Will certainly not work. But my only question is... are you now navigating using cell towers? Or are you using real GPS? RE: Smartphone navigation on in-dash screen - splash - 28-03-2013 11:00pm Thanks for the info, I have managed to install my apple tv in the car. This is cool and exactly what I want to do. Could you show the details of what you have done to get this. I phone 5 mirroring out to the nav screen with Tom Tom running is what I'm really after. Smartphone navigation on in-dash screen - gibbyd - 24-06-2013 04:49pm I now have I phone displaying Tom Tom on the nav screen by fitting a fakra lead £11 to the pink socket on the back of the screen. Also bought the hdmi converter for the I phone at £40 and a hdmi to av converter at £30. Press valet button for 40 secs press video and you have phone mirroring. Have a problem with the colour of this display though and every time I reset the properties ie brightness etc it defaults to the original. How can I get it to save the new offsets I want? |
