If your not sure what size you need buy one of these screwdriver bit sets & a multi-bit screwdriver which have all the common sizes you need. RE: removing seat backs - Barton Evoque - 13-05-2013 07:22am I never needed to remove my seat backs in the end i just pull the wires though the headrest posts holes.using a wire coat hanger. RE: removing seat backs - elchubi - 15-05-2013 04:19am One more question, from where are you taking 12V and GND Thanka RE: removing seat backs - Barton Evoque - 15-05-2013 06:44am I just use the accessory socket in armrest. RE: removing seat backs - wjbarton - 06-01-2014 03:21pm Hi, felt it better to revive this old thread vs. creating a new one since this one is so close to my question. Has anyone removed the seat back from the Evoque? Does the U-trim that holds the net in place pop off safely? Looks like the 4 torx heads will be behind that trim piece. Also, has anyone removed the armrest? I'm going to put in non-Rosen (aka not perfect fitting) headrest monitors in about a week. Probably a Concept CLS-703 pair for use with a classic video iPod. I'll try using a coat hanger down the back of the seat and using a 12-volt plug-in adapter, but I'd prefer to remove the seatback and wire right into the 12-volt line under the armrest. Any advice on doing that is appreciated. RE: removing seat backs - elchubi - 24-04-2014 09:56am Seat backs are easily removed. Just pull the plastic piece from the bottom using a spatula to unlock it towards you and then move the complete thing downwards |
