No rattles from the roof - but the blind roller rattles when the shade is fully closed - taking the tension up by nudging the switch a couple of times fixes it....if I'd wanted another car with no rattles I'd should have had another Audi....gives the RRE 'character' I tell myself...

Being as it's a sheet of glass, bonded in place I can't see that it could rattle. If the glass wasn't bonded correctly when you had it replaced, I would think it would also be leaking when it rained.
As the above post said, could be the electric blind.

Update.
Thanks for your feedback, i have concluded that this isn't a common fault and the the noise is down to having the roof lining replaced when the Panoramic roof was replaced, I have been back to dealer and they have booked it in for a couple of days to remove and refit said roof lining. I shall keep you posted.
