It was a genuine RR windscreen. There are no generic windscreens for the RRE available as this time. O'Brien was even not sure if there will be one in the near future.

I got the windscreen option and it only added an extra $70 to the premium.

Copped a stone last Friday somewhere between Tenterfield and Casino on the way home to Brisbane. Called the RACQ claims line while still in transit. As promised the RACQ Windscreen repairers called Monday to say they had located a new windscreen and would replace the broken one Wednesday with original parts. Arrived at 0900 and were finished by 1100. Thankfully I had opted for the additional windscreen insurance. Now I just have to avoid stones until the next insurance period as I'm only covered for one per year.
