It would feel like I was driving round in an ice cream van. Have to say I agree and wonder why someone who always wanted that ice cream van should ever consider buying an Evoque. The problem with the Evoque is everyone wants one so it will be seen everywhere eventually. Just like the RRS I had when they first came out. You won't have that problem with the Merc though RE: Getting rid of the evoque! - Evo-king - 09-08-2012 10:10pm Back in the time when I worked for a living, every type of large expenditure was subject to an Investment Appraisal. I tend to follow that approach in my home life purchases. The point is, very few of us will keep a car for life, most of us will change it sooner or later, but it does surprise me how many people bought into the Evoque but decided to part company inside a year. I wonder how much real consideration went into the buying process. Yes we are humans with emotions and tastes, but sometimes these decisions come with a cost. You pay your money and you take your choice. RE: Getting rid of the evoque! - jitenc - 10-08-2012 12:23am G wagon... C'mon... Where's the sex appeal... Cool. Point taken. The G-wagon must then be for the mother-in-law's approval... RE: Getting rid of the evoque! - vcruiser - 10-08-2012 01:11am It's for epic journeys into the unknown! RE: Getting rid of the evoque! - vcruiser - 10-08-2012 01:55am haha anytime! RE: Getting rid of the evoque! - mark_n - 10-08-2012 03:19am Just what you need for Montreal which has some of the most draconian speed limit enforcement I've ever come across. I too have Ferrari, Mercedes, Porsche in my garage, think the Evoque is absolutely fine, and we're fortunate (at least for now) to have that playground called Germany on our doorstep. Going there next week. RE: Getting rid of the evoque! - LonnyGer - 10-08-2012 07:47am I can not see the reason for fast cars in countries with hard speed limits, a couple of weeks ago I was driving with my new jaguar xjl on a Switzerland motorway and was caught of speeding, because I was driving 90km/h instead of 80km/h I had to pay 150 Euros, in Germany I would have paid 15 Euros. Thanks god for the German autobahn |
