Trust me, take the spare wheel.
Hopefully, you will never use it, but on that rare occasion, you will be so pleased you ordered it.

Mark, I think you got your post a bit backwards. Do you mean you ordered the spare because the goo is useless?

Definitely have a spare wheel, for a land rover not to have one just seems wrong. My last three cars had goo, luckily I never had a puncture, if I had, I'd have phoned the breakdown companies straight away rather than messing around with the goo and not being confident it had worked.
