The proper McGard ones are unique to that set and there are no other keys in circulation. Do LR not just use a series of available keys?LR do use Mcgard, but what you have said is most likely correct, I know for a fact that this happens with other manufacturers, where 5 carefully purchased keys will undo all sets of the nuts. Now whether the part number (not unique to LR, but is the LR fitment) and not purchased from LR will get you a more 'random' key pattern... I don't know. RE: Best alloy wheel locks ? - Urban Splash - 16-07-2012 08:25pm Which means a well prepared thieving scumbag would be able to take the wheels if the key pattern is not unique.... Hmmmm. not sure what to do... RE: Best alloy wheel locks ? - smayo - 16-07-2012 09:26pm On the assumptions that LR use a standard series of keys, and that you could never get a really unique key for after market locking nuts, and you are very paranoid over the loss of your alloys (I didn't think this was a big issue nowadays) you could use the LR and a set of aftermarket as well. I mean how likely is it that any 'scumbag' will have both keys? RE: Best alloy wheel locks ? - RacingSnake - 16-07-2012 09:41pm and if said theives have a full set of "service" keys anyway, they're clearly tooled up/in the know on the car anyway RE: Best alloy wheel locks ? - Lone Rangerover - 17-07-2012 10:42pm Are there any other suppliers other than McGard and Land Rover that make wheel locks for the evoque? RE: Best alloy wheel locks ? - Lone Rangerover - 18-07-2012 07:57am Does anyone know if these will work with the oe 20" wheels? I mailed the vendor, and he said that he is not 100% sure as most land overs have a washer type nut on them. I have never then one of mine apart so don't know what they look like. Does anyone know if they would work ? RE: Best alloy wheel locks ? - RacingSnake - 18-07-2012 08:30am if what will work? is there supposed to be a link?
