RE: No Allocations.... - NightFox - 04-07-2012 06:00pm The LR dealer that I've built up a good relationship with over the years was quoting Jan 2013 delivery, compared to another local dealer who quoted me early October or sooner. I took the mercenary gamble of going with this other dealer but I'm really paranoid that now they've got my deposit the build date will slowly slip back... RE: No Allocations.... - Kentboy - 04-07-2012 09:29pm Placed my order in March and expect delivery on Saturday so four months. My dealer Guy Salmon of Maidstone is currently quoting November delivery. Try them and ask for Jon. RE: No Allocations.... - Bodlyfunctions - 04-07-2012 09:36pm It may be a fair distance from you, but call Hillendale in Blackburn and get Kirsti on the case. Mine came in 4 months and she kept me in the loop all the way through. They have a pretty big allocation due to the volume of new cars they shift RE: No Allocations.... - leeselee - 05-07-2012 10:22am There does seem to be a few dealers with better delivery times (four to six months) - but it seems those are few and far between. LR in Ripon are quoting delivery October/November for orders placed now (ask for Richard, such a helpful chap). It is fair to say that most dealers either have small allocations with smaller order numbers and the larger allocation dealers have higher amounts of orders. which is why nearly everyone is waiting more than six months. There are obviously some dealers who are lying through their teeth - just to get your deposit! It is very frustrating, especially for those of us who now KNOW they will be without a car for some time. I know where I am in my dealer queue, but with no news of any allocations. I only wish my own business was this busy with such a high demand! RE: No Allocations.... - DiscoDad - 05-07-2012 10:32am Give Guy Salmon Wakefield a call. They are always busy, got mine in less than 3 months! RE: No Allocations.... - leeselee - 05-07-2012 10:37am (05-07-2012 10:32am)DiscoDad Wrote: Give Guy Salmon Wakefield a call. They are a strange bunch in Wakey! And sure enough, the day after posting this I get an email from my dealer saying their allocation for September was less than they expected, so we're probably now looking at November. ![]() RE: No Allocations.... - Straydox - 06-07-2012 11:17am (06-07-2012 09:59am)NightFox Wrote: And sure enough, the day after posting this I get an email from my dealer saying their allocation for September was less than they expected, so we're probably now looking at November. That's rubbish I would suspect that they (the dealer) are pushing your order backwards in favour of other customers. Ask for you deposit back and find a dealer with a shorter queue.
