RE: Rattle - back to the dealers? - ED209 - 04-06-2012 03:47pm On the way home today i think its the plastic panel at the side of the centre console, you cannot see it but when the ratttle starts if i put pressure on it the rattle seems to go away. its hard to describe but its sort of forward of the ambient lighting cubby thingy. RE: Rattle - back to the dealers? - ED209 - 04-06-2012 07:43pm Had a good look, bottom of the divers side of the centre console it appears one of the clips behind the plastic that holds it in place had popped out, took a few attempts but i think it has popped back in. Will see how it gotes tomorrow. I noticed it was this as the gap between the plasic and the carpet was wider in the middle of the footwell than at each end. Difficult to explain i know! Hopefully third time lucky, and i can undo my one rattle vote, and put it in the "I had a rattle ,but they fixed it'' column". Third time lucky it was....they fixed it!!! Now just rock solid silence. VERY VERY HAPPY!!! See here, post # 16.... http://babyrr.com/forum/Thread-Have-you-got-a-rattle-or-two?page=2 RE: Rattle - back to the dealers? - ED209 - 09-06-2012 04:14am Well my rattle seems to be fixed for now without visiting the dealers! woo hoo! RE: Rattle - back to the dealers? - J77 - 09-06-2012 02:03pm +1 I have also fixed mine without a trip to the dealers, but still a bit concerned at the gap about 10mm between A pillar trim and dash right in the very bottom corner of the windscreen. At least the rattle has gone. At least the rattle has gone. Can you take a picture of the 10mm gap? Is the other A piller a smaller gap? Both of mine appear normal and consistant, with about a 1mm gap around the majority of the pillars, then they open up only near the bottom corner of the windscreen, like what you are saying, and i think this is normal design finish on all Evoques. May not be anything to worry about if it's the same on both sides. RE: Rattle - back to the dealers? - Billionaireboysclub - 09-06-2012 02:32pm Its sooo annoying.....we should not have these rattles!! I now have a new rattle to join the one from the left back passenger side : Drivers door! - and Im not too sure if the speakers are popped or not What to doo...what to do??????? I am travelling up north tomorrow...so no doubt Ill have some more rattles to complain about RE: Rattle - back to the dealers? - J77 - 09-06-2012 03:49pm @ Benzina- Had another look and the gap isn't as big as it looks, only 2 or 3mm and gets a bit wider as it approches the windscreen, Not so concerned now. Thanks RE: Rattle - back to the dealers? - benzina - 10-06-2012 01:49am (09-06-2012 03:49pm)J77 Wrote: @ Benzina- Had another look and the gap isn't as big as it looks, only 2 or 3mm and gets a bit wider as it approches the windscreen, Not so concerned now. Thanks Good to know J77.....here's mine just the same. Right Hand Pillar (Minimal, normal Evoque gap design) All Good. The opening of the gap only near the windscreen (Normal Evoque design) All Good Left hand Pillar (Consistant with the right side) All Good. RE: Rattle - back to the dealers? - MPK - 10-06-2012 11:44am Thanks for the thread everyone.... especially like benzina's pics! Thanks for this thread I was also able to pinpoint the rattle to the left side A pillar. When i exerted some pressure on plastic the rattle disappeared. If it happens again I'll take it to the dealers. |
