What are you using to polish? I've used P1 thus far which is supposed to be a polish as opposed to a filler so hoping I shouldn't have to do as often but I prepare to stand corrrected....!

Small update - the Meridian is actually a lot better than I implied. Turning up the sub if you’re after bass really does make a difference. Went up to half volume (we have the 425 system) is really quite loud with no distortion. Still a little annoying on the system as a whole how the screen takes a while to register a button being pressed.

Only other thing I meant to add to my review was tyre noise. Our car came on Continentals which I’ve heard reviews about being noisy. To be honest it’s nothing that would make me change the whole set of tyres over (better things to spend money on) but you do notice at motorway speeds that you do have to crank the stereo up to still hear it. Not sure if the Meridian has a setting to increase volume dependent on speed like the ‘GALA’ on Audis. Not to fussed to be honest, as apart from a bit of tyre noise it is very civilised at speed. The barn door wing mirrors must be more aerodynamic than they look…

Have 20" michelins on mine and very little tyre noise nor wind noise.

Sd4 I had in October suffered terribly from wind noise around drivers door.

I agree about the Meridian, I've got the 825w version and although I can get plenty of thump, real bass without shaking the doors or overshadowing the mid range is hard to get. The Bose in my A6 was miles better and much better defined, the B&O in my wife's A5 was far to bright and not as good as the Meridian.

More observations...

Seats aren't as 'filled' as our previous Audi (TT and A5) seats. Audi typically have harder seats but you certainly seem to be able to squidge the leather/bolsters more in the RRE. Not bothered other than the lower seat drivers bolster. I hope it holds up and doesn't start to lose its shape.

Perhaps slightly annoying is being unable to alter the angle of the seat base (presuming you can do this on higher specced models). I would perhaps lift the front up more to give more support under my legs. Not the end of the world, but the 'standard' seats in our A5 sport moved in every direction possible including an electric lumbar support which would be nice in the Evoque.

One slightly comedy button is the electric height adjustment for the drivers seat. Straight out the 90s Fiesta/Escort/Mondeo parts bin. Doesn't bother me, but a completely different style to every other button in the car. As for the rest of the switchgear, seems nicely damped and satisfying to press!

Only other thing I've noticed is the SD4/eD4 exhaust trims. I'm pretty sure that that the single exhaust of the eD4 car (and TD4 presumably) isn't just one of the SD4's pair. It seems a bigger diameter exhaust with nicely turned chrome tips, allbeit pointing down every so slightly. The SD4s look to be smaller and with less of a rim. Is this right? I actually quite like the look of the single exit pipe!
