Symptom 107000 Interior Trim
Content Issue:
Some instances have been observed where the hook clips which hold the rear parcel tray supports to the tailgate inner have become dislodged and/or fallen out of the retention holes.
Cause:
Engineering are investigating the interraction between the specified clips used and the hole sizes within the tailgate inner panel.
Action:
In the event of such a failure being observed, dealers are requested to raise an EPQR with photos where applicable of both the clip and the hole in the tailgate highlighting the concern. Additionally, dealers are requested to provide on the EPQR measured values across the hole to confirm size and shape, as per the attachment provided.
On receipt of EPQR data, JLR will respond as to the appropriate repair in each instance.
I appreciate the update on this. Mine failed and dropped off on one side days after collecting the car and i have have never seen it again. I've noticed that the parcel shelf locators have also become loose on the same side. As these are riveted I can't re-tighten so i was going to leave it for first service but wondered if you would suggest otherwise.

Is this fault connected to the issue of unusual wear on the door seals?

@yts - if you do wait then I would suggest, at the least, sending them an email to inform them of the issue.

hi guys,

my retention clip has fallen out and 1 of the 3 clips has broken, just went back to my dealer to order a new one and was told I had to pay for it. Should this be a warranty fault? I have the electronic boot and have never opened or closed the boot by hand so no personal pressure has been placed upon the parcel shelf.

cheers
