RE: SATNAV: how activate off road mode maps? - Davevx - 04-08-2013 10:07am Just press the nav button twice on the dash to bring up offroad mapping RE: SATNAV: how activate off road mode maps? - Ray Parlour - 05-08-2013 04:30pm (04-08-2013 10:07am)Davevx Wrote: Just press the nav button twice on the dash to bring up offroad mapping Would this be the best way to assess whether my sat nav has been updated to 2013 spec? I've just had the upgrade installed in my early 2012 model and a quick glance hasn't revealed anything different. Even the previous destination list has survived the update. RE: SATNAV: how activate off road mode maps? - cjfp - 05-08-2013 04:34pm What upgrade / update ? SATNAV: how activate off road mode maps? - Davevx - 05-08-2013 04:36pm Not sure Ray... Press the button twice and see what happens .... I got an email from Land Rover back in March about this; got my local dealer to perform the upgrade as a good-will gesture. RE: SATNAV: how activate off road mode maps? - cjfp - 05-08-2013 05:03pm I think that's just a map update and not a function update but worth checking RE: SATNAV: how activate off road mode maps? - Ray Parlour - 05-08-2013 05:11pm (05-08-2013 05:02pm)cjfp Wrote: Was this done FOC ?It's a long story... My last post on here - http://babyrr.com/forum/thread-3344-post-43008.html#pid43008 - was shortly after my wife scraped both nearside doors on a bollard back in February 2012. My local dealers' bodyshop replaced and repainted the doors but in the intervening 17 months, the paint under the plastic trim below the windows has started to bubble and ripple on no fewer than 5 occasions. Each time it goes back for a respray, comes back looking all lovely and shiny and then within a month/two months the problem reoccurs. After the last respray (May 2013) I asked for a good-will gesture to restore my faith and suggested the sat nav update which LR wanted to charge me £199 for. So, after some more shenanigans, they updated it this morning; only I'm not entirely convinced that they did, so I would like to find out how I can find out! RE: SATNAV: how activate off road mode maps? - Ray Parlour - 18-08-2013 11:52pm Okay, so pushing the Nav button twice did nothing. Quick question to Evoquers living in the South of England, does the Hindhead tunnel on the A3 (opened in summer 2011) appear on your sat nav? Following my so-called 'upgrade' to the latest 2012/13 maps, this rather significant piece of road does not appear. I suspect that my local dealer just kept my car for a couple of hours, gave it a wash and returned it. Any evidence that you can offer will make me feel more confident about going back to shout at them. |
