Just compare the 2. RE: Keyless entry or power tailgate. - vinda - 05-06-2011 02:31am Thanksfor all the feedback too guys. At first I wasn't keen on paying for either. Not had keyless on any vehicles in the past and only once had electric boot. And to be fair didn't use all that much. But now that wife is pregnant, thinking of the future and the heavier and higher boot lid it could come on handy. Also may the keyless Option if she has hands full of baby stuff etc. RE: Keyless entry or power tailgate. - LP - 05-06-2011 08:04am (05-06-2011 02:31am)vinda Wrote: Thanksfor all the feedback too guys. At first I wasn't keen on paying for either. Not had keyless on any vehicles in the past and only once had electric boot. The powered boot at Evoque Live was very cool. Not sure it will be that heavy though because I'm sure I read the boot lid is going to be made of plastic. It seemed heavy at Evoque Live because you had to push against the electric opener/closer. Either way...if I had to choose between keyless entry and the powered boot I'd go for the powered boot. RE: Keyless entry or power tailgate. - vision*R - 05-06-2011 10:17am Same here: I've ordered the powered boot, but not the keyless entry. I do have keyless start & entry on my current car, and keyless start is the most interesting thing, far more than keyless entry. RE: Keyless entry or power tailgate. - pureevoque - 11-06-2011 03:44pm If you don't choose powered tailgate, does it still open without touching it? there is a button in the car anyway so presumably you'd still get the button on the fob? It may not open with with such smoothness just rely on hydraulics? and obviously just close it manually? I'd guess just a little. Like it does on a any hatchback; it releases the catch.
