Pete,
The movie on the go box is working great that you fitted for me, thank you.
One question I have.
As the display is now looking for a rear view camera when in reverse (touching the screen gives the birds eye view as before), is there a socket on the back of the head unit to connect a camera ?
Is it a case of using one of these "gold coloured" leads you had in the boot of your car, seen them for sale on DISCO3.CO.UK shop & buying a camera off the internet http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Waterproof-Wide-Night-Vision-Car-Reverse-Camera-Rear-View-Parking-LED-Sensor-/180780113014?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item2a17559c76#ht_4626wt_1028 like this one.
Where do you wire the camera power lead too ?

Any advise much appreciated.

Hi
Yes the gold lead seen in the D3 shop will fit the back of the screen and from there onto the rear camear you can fit. you can take power from inside the tailgate or from the reverse light to power up the camera. fitting will be easy and its just a case of running wires to the boot.

Thanks for the very quick answer.
I have looked all over the Internet for the best looking camera to rear mount, but was concerned about the power lead. Hadn't even thought about the reverse light, simple once a expert tells me.
Off now to buy the parts needed.

Anyone know if you loose any form of factory warranty in Europe when installing such equipment one selves?
Its a pretty straight forward install that shouldn't effect anything, but I know the dealers are always looking for way to put the blame on to the customer in case of problems.

I would assume so, but limited to warranty claims that are directly related to it.

More concerning is the insurance component. I could imagine a claim being denied because they believe you were watching TV while driving!! Yikes!

Hi Pete,
Pls allow me one more question.
Just ordered a TD4 with tech pack meaning 350 Meridian with 8'' touch panel but no Nav.
Would this work out for me as well or do I need to have the Nav (with HDD and DvD) included ?

Appreciate your response
