I had some connectivity problems with various ipods (touch and original i-phone) that I had been trying to connect. In the end it seems to have come down to my cable. I have reverted to the standard Ipod cable rather than the "fatter" Ipod/IPad and synch cable which I had been using to charge my devices. It has done the trick and all the ipods now connect without any difficulty and all operate with the browse fucntion(for what it's worth!). Just something worth checking? iPod Browse function not responding - elvinsiew - 01-03-2012 01:38pm Will try the cables , but I thought its all the same? It might very well have been a dodgy connection on an old cable but it worked, much to my surpise. I was in luck and had another newer style cable kicking around so it was an easy check to make. iPod Browse function not responding - elvinsiew - 04-03-2012 04:47pm Can't find any old cable, only have those new ones which is used on iPhone . Doesn't work on my 20gb and 40gb iPod , my nano 8gb works which is weird iPod Browse function not responding - elvinsiew - 06-03-2012 02:03am Any ideas? RE: iPod Browse function not responding - eastrnma - 11-03-2012 01:24am As a follow-up to the original post, I found issues seemed to develop when the iPod needed charging. iPod Browse function not responding - elvinsiew - 11-03-2012 03:54pm My iPod is charged RE: iPod Browse function not responding - gw76 - 12-03-2012 07:46pm Maybe im making it up, but I was sure I had the browse function via bluetooth on my Iphone4 ?? No. I certainly dont have it all the time. RE: iPod Browse function not responding - leveller - 14-03-2012 06:35pm Just had the same problem as OP with the browse button stopping working while iPod still playing and I'm driving. Thankfully it wasn't a long drive otherwise I'd have been a bit stuffed with choice of music. I did try and disconnect and reconnect the iPod at some traffic lights but that didn't work. The only thing that fixed it was to stop the car, turn off the engine, get out, lock it, wait a short time, unlock car, get in, start engine - working again. Seems much more likely to be a software issue with the car. |
