RE: Halewood visit - jos - 04-01-2012 02:38pm and did you see already the 2wd eD4's being build ? Halewood visit - Rossy100 - 04-01-2012 03:47pm Difficult to tell from tour as whilst you see all of the build elements, you don't actually follow a car through. Didn't notice any 2WD - but wasn't looking for that so could have been...... And there were a LOT of cars being built!!! RE: Halewood visit - jos - 04-01-2012 03:51pm okay understandable thx could be.... RE: Halewood visit - iat - 04-01-2012 04:34pm where must i call to purchase that visit? Thank you Halewood visit - Rossy100 - 04-01-2012 05:44pm Go to Land Rover experience on LR website and go to Halewood experience. I'll double check next week when i go on the factory tour to see my actual car being built... can't wait !!! O.k thanks blacktrees1, that would be good if you could please confirm with the factory about the 13 hours build,or lets say a day. cheers. I assume the lucky ones who has visited the factory, will know the answer. Thanks in advance. *Any concrete answer to this question? The 0 - completion must include, and allow for paint drying and everything. Thanks. *Also.....is the build date given, the day it is finished and off assembly,or the start of the build? Thanks again. RE: Halewood visit - mark_n - 12-01-2012 05:57am When I visited, the guide pointed at some pressings and said: "these pressings will be used to make a body shell this afternoon, it will be painted overnight and the car will be complete by lunchtime tomorrow". With 500+ cars a day being produced, they can't have them hanging around. RE: Halewood visit - benzina - 12-01-2012 12:34pm So if we say (1) day to complete a car from nothing, that seems to be where it's at. Thankyou. RE: Halewood visit - RacingSnake - 12-01-2012 12:45pm If you know your build date, could you (theoretically) book a factory visit and see your car on the production line?? that would be cool, and a great keep-sake photo if you can get a part-built photo of your actual car |
