Yeah me too! my delivery was the 9th December, now its the same as yours, the 28th..Crying

When i phoned the Sales Manager back, all he could update me on is that the build/delivery weeks are still very un-settled at the factory and he will monitor this weekly for me.

Hope it doesn't go into late January..

"I've 'sold' my Merc and so will require a 4.4TDV8 Vogue to tide me over, blue if you have it"

Worth a try!

Another thing I found out yesterday is that Landrover are giving £150 compensation to customers with delays - this might be the goodwill gift mentioned.

Has anyone seen the Colin Green letter addressing dealership staff not telling the truth?

RE: LR's Damage Limitation - Martin - 19-10-2011 02:12pm

Hi all,

At Land Rover's request, I have removed the internal dealership memo that Mark posted.

Nick@LandRover is more than happy to discuss individual circumstances with members and being able to provide up to date information which is relevant to their order.

Whatever, at least we know the steps LR are taking to try to placate the Great Unwashed. I shall be holding out for a free umbrella to use to walk to the phone when the car breaks down on the motorway.

It will be interesting to see how many here are contacted by their dealers concerned to understand the impact the late delivery of their cars is going to cause.

Still, I've contacted Nick as Martin suggests to see whether he/she can shed any light on my lead time increasing from 3 to 13 weeks.

If you had any doubts whether they were reading the site these have been answered.

I must say that I have no personal issue here as my car appears to be early and for that I'm very grateful to them. (can't help but think that's at somebodyelse's expense though -sorry)

Asking for it to be removed does not address the issue. Just adds to the confusion. More cloak and dagger approach....

Many dealers have not discussed the measures suggested in the memo with their customers. Why not? Money. It will cost the dealers a fortune to provide loan cars from the dates people were expecting their cars.

Pretty shabby all this by LR.

Could aggree with you more, I ordered in July, still heard nothing from Stratstone... not even a letter saying there's a delay or a call from the sales person.
