RE: Movie hack - bell-auto-services - 26-02-2012 07:27pm

Mine has 4 inputs and when i tested the reversing camera on a non camera car i used one of these to input my own image. http://www.disco3.co.uk/shop/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=34

Ive not seen the rear of a nav screen with no rear view and or dvd but i assume yours will have the 4 sockets on the back.

Pete

I have also shown a shot of the front sensor distance colours, which also show left and right sides front and back as well..

I don't have the surround system.

Today I left my car at the dealer for some small problems . I got a sd4 auto loaner car from 2013 with only 4400kms on it. I noticed the Birdseye view which I don't see in my Car (same spec but from October 2011)
I also noticed an extra feature on the options page on which I can enable the rear view cam while driving forward.

Obviously I rang the dealer to ask if they could program my car the same way while it was already being updated for some other thing. After an hour they reported that they asked LR about it and they said it was not possible at the moment and that it probably is some of the upgrades of the 2013 model year. Maybe in the future it could be possible.
Anyone else has the Birdseye view on a 2011 evoque?
I also don't have the surround camera system, neither has the loaner. Below a picture from the 2013 car

Not sure of your question about birds eye view. This looks the same as my 2013. the camera icon shows you all the cameras at once and you can choose to have two side by side or one full screen as your driving. As the cameras are all strangely skewed its not great sense to use while your driving except for slow speed reference.

Thanks for your reply, but there is only one camera on the car and it still has this option

That's correct my old MY12 car with rear camera didn't have this option on the Extra Features screen but my MY13 car with rear camera does and it can be switched on at any time including when driving forward.

I posted some other new features in the MY13 here -> http://babyrr.com/forum/Thread-Differences-between-MY12-and-MY13-software-upgrades?highlight=features

RE: Movie hack - Rein - 26-06-2013 07:51pm

Fitted a video in motion module today, posted it in the modifications thread. After I installed it, I noticed something interesting.

Now, when I select reverse gear, and after that select Park or Drive, for a brief moment the illusive "birds-eye" parking aid screen comes up. I was told by LR that the birs eye view with visual representation of the parking sensors was nog possible on a 2011 model.
It's only there for a moment, I can't select the "rear camera" button. But the representation of the sensors is working (not visible in the video though)
So I think the birds-eye view IS there in the 2011 model Very Happy, but isn't activated. Sad But has become visible because of the video in motion module.
Now for someone to find software to activate the birdseye view. Some software like NCexpert or INPA for BMW.

Here's a video

RE: Movie hack - RacingSnake - 26-06-2013 08:01pm

ooo interesting.
I wonder, if the addition of the Tv in motion module has enabled some other settings?
I'd be scrolling through the settings on the screen, the settings on the dash and the settings in the service menu.
I'm on the verge of getting that TV in motion unit myself, so would be interested if you figure out the birdseye view too! Very Happy

Went through all the menu's ,nothing thereConfused
Also it doesn't remain on the screen longer than a second or so. If you read a few pages back , more people experienced ths behavior. But I think they all have the module from Bell Auto Sevices. I don't. Mine is a different brand. Hmmm

RE: Movie hack - RacingSnake - 26-06-2013 08:40pm

Pete didn't make his module (to my knowledge), so I suspect it's all the same box.
