Air Ride Coupe - airborne ranger - 27-02-2015 10:30pm I understand this may not appeal to a lot of people, but please try to keep the vibe positive. I love my Evoque and how it turned out which is why I opt to share mine with the world. It is not my only vehicle so practicality was not a priority. You dont see lowered Evoques too often around here. I originally looked at static lowering and going with KW Variant III but the delay in manufacturing got me looking elsewhere. I settled on the AIRREX air ride system. There was only the one prototype set and I had to wait 10 weeks to receive mine. The result is seen below. Other modifications are as follows: Black and Silver Rover badges, Mud flaps, side tubes, rain gaurds, roof rails and crossbars, cross-drilled/slotted rotors, red calipers Niche 20" wheels, Thule Sonic Alpine box. RE: Air Ride Coupe - Doody - 28-02-2015 03:20am i think it looks slick, dude. wildly unique. enjoy the bejeezus out of that thing!!!!! doody Air Ride Coupe - MarkA_ - 28-02-2015 09:35pm I considered something like this enough to email around some air suspensions manufacturers but none had anything available. Then I started thinking about magneride etc and decided to stop pursuing it. If I had a pure though... RE: Air Ride Coupe - airborne ranger - 28-02-2015 09:52pm Thanks Doody. Actually Mark it's a Dynamic without magnaride. She drives like a dream... one would think it would be bouncy but that is not the case. AIR REX really makes a great kit. I have the tank and compressor nice and tidy in my spare tire compartment. I plan to add a quick release air hose connector to the tank and carry hose should I need to add air to my tires. I've had and currently have vehicles that do not come from factory with a spare tire so driving without one does not concern me. RE: Air Ride Coupe - Mark^^ - 01-03-2015 02:20am It looks really bad ass, I assume that the lowest it goes, but how high can the ride go. I looked at the AIRREX air ride system here in Australia and they have one listed for the Evoque and its in the rage of $5,600 plus installation. My interest is to increase the height for off road driving, the reason for my question. RE: Air Ride Coupe - airborne ranger - 01-03-2015 02:26am Thanks Mark. Correct. That pic is of it sitting in the lowest position. The adjustable collars and triple bellow bag system has over 6" of travel. I am sure you can make it a lift kit if you should so desire. RE: Air Ride Coupe - airborne ranger - 03-03-2015 06:11pm couple more pics... front with my other toy.. Air Ride Coupe - AAA86 - 06-03-2015 01:05pm Love it! Its as low as your other baby! Great project, turned very nicely! RE: Air Ride Coupe - airborne ranger - 06-03-2015 02:50pm Thank you AAA, one last thing I'm looking at doing is adding an exhaust. Leaning towards Milltek. I'll update the thread with the progress. RE: Air Ride Coupe - airborne ranger - 21-07-2015 06:47pm Quick update... have installed a custom intake, hood scoop, BOV and New Vossen 22 x 10.5 CVT wheels |
