Tuning news update from BAS - bell-auto-services - 19-10-2012 04:27pm In the very near future BAS will have ready the OBD solution needed to program the latest range of Tricore protected Landrover ecus. As part of this new upgrade we will be able to offer the added protection against the dealers over writing the tuning on the ecu as an extra option if wanted. The list of newly added cars we are adding to the OBD list is. Defender 2.2L TDCI Discovery 4 3.0L TDV6 Evoque 2.2L 150 & 190 bhp models Evoque 2.0L Turbo Si4 240 bhp RangeRover 3.0L TDV6 Rangerover 4.4L TDV8 The software for these is nearly completed and we hope to have all models available as an OBD solution very soon. We hope at the same time some of our other tuning distributors will participate and upgrade via me to the new tools needed and be able to also offer this service globally as they do at the moment with non protected models Pete RE: Tuning news update from BAS - mickydd - 19-10-2012 04:52pm Welcome back Pete. Not related to this post, but was wondering if you had managed to source the retro fit tv tuner yet? Thanks. RE: Tuning news update from BAS - ED209 - 19-10-2012 09:09pm does this mean there wil be a superchips bluefin type product coming from bell? RE: Tuning news update from BAS - Evo-king - 20-10-2012 08:38am To the non techy, in plain English please, what is OBD, as opposed to these other engine tuning options. I am considering a power upgrade after what Griff said about your tuning his car. I'm assuming it is a permanent upgrade inside the main ECU and not like a bolt on and undetecable! RE: Tuning news update from BAS - bell-auto-services - 20-10-2012 09:53am We may have some remote box available yes, BUT its early days with this so we are not sure as yet. OBD = On Board Diagnostics, or in even simpler English, a plug in your car It will be a remap not a plug in tuning box. Pete RE: Tuning news update from BAS - WB - 20-10-2012 11:22pm any indication on bhp and mpg impact yet?
