... when I heard the sound of metal against stone.
Yes I've managed to kerb one of my wheels pretty badly during a low speed maneouver. I'm normally over cautious but I just mis judged my distance from the kerb.Hopefully the person I use will have no problem with the shadow finish.

Ouch! That noise is so sickening. Hope the cost of repair does not make your eyes water too.

Done that twice before in my TT so know how you feel!
Cost around £45 to repair on the 18" wheels but they weren't shadows like you have.

Should I change from 20"s to 18"s I wonder, slightly more kerb friendly.

That's a big when at the mo, and SWMBO won't let me change them in reality.
