Australian Towbar - Maarten - 21-12-2011 07:38am

Does anybody have any pictures of a towbar (australia) fitted on a prestige?

RE: Australian Towbar - Barneyridge - 21-12-2011 09:50am

Don't have a picture but it is the same unit that is fitted to the freelander 2 here. Doubt that anyone has one fitted yet.

Hi,

Has anyone received pricing for the factory fitted towbar?

Also, considering whether it'd be possible to pay and get the towbar installed after the initial delivery of the vehicle to save on LCT.

Cheers,
MPK

Pretty sure my dealer offered it to me for $1200. Think I'll wait a while an have an aftermarket fitted.

RE: Australian Towbar - Barneyridge - 08-01-2012 10:57pm

MPK, i was told by my dealer it was $1,298 fitted.

Thanks for that guys.

Does the $1200 price also include the electrics?

Australian Towbar - Maarten - 09-01-2012 08:06am

MPK, I got also quoted around $1200 electric included. I am waiting to see how it will look on an Evoque. So if anybody has any pictures...

Thanks for that Maarten.

My dealer is charging $1958! I know where i won't be getting mine.

Have you seen the picture of the towbar in the evoque catalogue?

The FL2 bar DOES NOT fit the EVOQUE. The mounting points are completely different, even thought the floorpan is common item. If you look in the on-line handbook and compare with the FL2, you will see what I mean. Don't get caught outSadSad

BFG, not sure but remember in Australia we get a totally different towbar than Europe.
