Front fogs retrofit? - Craig_d1 - 21-11-2011 05:41pm Just got a pure from a cancelled order but it doesn't have front fogs which I would like to add as think it finishes the look of the car. Does anyone know if they can be added. My dealer doesn't thinkso but is not too sure. Any help much appreciated Thxs Craig RE: Front fogs retrofit? - SW6RR - 21-11-2011 06:02pm Craig - there are some threads which should help you out - use the search function and hopefully you'll find them. Tried that but couldn't seems to get a thread with a definitive answer..either comes back with no thread or so many I end up spending an hour trawling thru them. Was hoping as more and more Evoques come onto the roads, someone might know( though I've yet to see one where I am). RE: Front fogs retrofit? - Evo-king - 21-11-2011 07:34pm Craig_d1 Try this. http://babyrr.com/forum/Thread-Fog-light-question RE: Front fogs retrofit? - IKM - 21-11-2011 08:13pm Sounds like the use of front fogs are so restrictive you'd be as well just fixing them on the car without wiring them in! However, I can't see a definitive answer on fitting them from the link above. RE: Front fogs retrofit? - Craig_d1 - 21-11-2011 08:37pm thanks for the help but think IKM is right, fitting them would be cosmetic only as doing a google search comes up with nothing also. Then again, it's the cosmetic aspect I'm looking at...then again, need to get my car first RE: Front fogs retrofit? - doug - 21-11-2011 11:08pm (21-11-2011 08:37pm)Craig_d1 Wrote: thanks for the help but think IKM is right, fitting them would be cosmetic only as doing a google search comes up with nothing also. But would fail a MOT, as all lights fitted have to work. Liking the ideal. As was said, how many times do we use fog lights RE: Front fogs retrofit? - Acwats - 21-11-2011 11:26pm The fogs are worth wiring up if like me you have halogen not xenons. The lights are fine but switching on the fogs on unlit country roads really illuminates the sides of the car. I've never known fog lights to be this effective and it certainly aids manoeuvring in the dark. Same here, waiting for LR to release a front fog lights kit for a Pure model... |
