Dash full of lights and messages - RacingSnake - 26-03-2018 11:07pm

Hi guys, long time no post!
Disappointed to have to ask, but after 36k miles, seems we’ve hit a serious issue Sad
Does anyone have a clue what this might be?

Am supposed to be going on holiday on Friday, so not a huge amount of time to get it looked at!

Thanks in advance

wow - that's a bunch of errors. all three of those systems are brake-related.

assuming the brakes still work when yo press on them, perhaps some sensor or brake-system computer board shit the bed?

g/l,
doody

Check the wiring for damage caused by a rodent (maybe a marten).
I had an ABS cable cut by one of these animals. This gave the same symptoms on my VOLVO.

Thanks guys, will check it out.
The stability control isn’t brake related, so I’ve got a real mixed bunch going on!
I found a similar video on YouTube which pointed back to the battery again.
I think I’ll have to see if I can get it to a dealer Neutral

Just to add, the power steering has gone too Sad

I get similar when the battery is low (MY 2012, 31k miles), the only thing I can suggest is to make sure the battery fully charged or even still holding it charge if it's the original battery.

It does start ok, but the power steering doesn’t work, did you get that behaviour too?
I’m not going to get it to a dealer before we go, so, sadly it’s going to have to wait now.

I had all sorts of warning lights show up when my battery was on the way out. How old is the battery? Get it tested first for a dead cell. Have you tried a master reset?

RE: Dash full of lights and messages - RacingSnake - 29-03-2018 09:58pm

Battery is going to be about 5 years, has it replaced after 1 year with some we’ll documented issues on here!
What’s the master reset? - have done a battery disconnect a couple of times with no difference.

Did you find out what caused this? The same errors flashed up on my dash before cutting out on the m6, battery died 10 mins later. It’s currently in a garage 200 miles from me and they have given up on fixing it. Changed alternator, battery and something that connects to negative side of battery. starts intermittently but then cuts out again as something drains the battery - so they say.

It’s a 2013 2.2 diesel auto

Cost me £1k so far for parts and labour but still not fixed. Trying to get it home but stuck in park so nobody will move it for me.

Any help really appreciated
Steve
