Hey. Who here has US 2014 Pure Plus model with only one USB port in the inside of the center console? Or should it be 2 ports? Mine only has one aux and one USB.

Also, what can the USB port do, is it to just connect an hdd with MP3/MP4 files? I tried connecting my HTC One M8 and it's not detecting it. Was wondering if we can connect an allcast or miracast dongle to mirror the phoen to the screen of the car.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks!!
I also have a 2014 Evoque with only one USB connector into which I insert an unpowered USB hub. Into the hub I have a memory stick and an iPod both of which are then selectable from the head unit. My iPhone is connected via BlueTooth.
Thanks!! Does it control the playlist and music selection of the ipod? Is there a way to mirror the screen of an android phone into the screen of the evoque, sort of like Incontrol?
Pretty sure I only have one USB outlet in the center console. I have a USB adapter in the power outlet that adds two more.

Using an iPod, playlists etc show up on the main screen.

The adapter will only supply power to devices attached, it will not allow any data communication with attached devices.
Excellent point.Thumbs Up

so I went back and forth inside the house and car trying to get the USB to work lol... first I went and grabbed my wife's old iPod mini (I mean old, the black and white screen type lol), set audio source to iPod and the car wouldn't recognize it.... so I went back inside the house, copied some mp3s to a sub flash drive, and back to the car... still no luck... "please connect usb" was the error...so I figured might be because i didn't reformat the stick first, so formatted it, then went back to car... same error.... then tried an external hdd, still the same error... finally had it, decided to plug in my spare iphone 5 and it works!!! sigh of relief....

...now time to create some playlists lol...i'm still wondering why the usb stick wasn't recognize and it's only a 16GB one....
Try formatting the flash drive as FAT32 if that doesn't work try FAT. You may have to format it more than once. I have 4 identical 4GB flash drives and only 1 of them worked until I formatted them 2 or 3 times.
We've only tried one iPod. Think it's a 3rd generation. Click wheel model. Shows playlists etc.

Also wanted to confirm I have been able to play regular MP4 files using a USB, formatted to FAT32 on MY15 PureTech.
One thing that puzzles me is the AUX 3.5mm jack ... It has an icon of a musical note and a movie clapper ... does that mean there is a way to send video through this jack ? ... Or is that just wishful thinking?
