Is there any benefit / specialism in using a landrover dealer to fit tyres - or does it not matter?
BlackCircles £217 per corner.
no benefit whatsoever.
Go with Blackcircles.
That's a good price, which tyres are you getting? I paid £270 for a replacement tyre from Kwik-Fit, 245 40 20 inch IIRC.

Two of the others, now relocated to the back which wear slower have 1mm of tread left before the 1.6mm legal limit, 23000 miles. What are other people getting? It looks like I will have to replace those two before my RRS shuffles onto the scene, waste of money.
Just in 32,000 - winter tyres probably took 4000 off that , so all 4 need replacing.
Blackcircles £217 per corner. Michelin 245/45 R20s.
One benefit if you have a Land Rover Allegiance card. The FREE PUNCTURE REPAIR service is only available if you've purchased the tyres from LR.
Worth checking LR Dealer prices as they were doing a price match with KwikFit.

Not sure what that card is, but puncture repairs are a tenner at Costco Very Happy which I thought was a bit of a bargain!

£15 at one of my local places this morning without the risk of the tyre deflating too much by trying to hunt around.

Just relieved I noticed the screw before things got messy with no spare to call on! Lady Luck has at least struck on this one and it turned into an inconvenience rather than something more costly and aggravating. No gunked up carcass that they would refuse to repair.

At £220 + I am so pleased I am running the 19's!
Agreed costco repairs are cheap and well done.
No real benefit that I can see in replacing tyres through the dealer. I replaced a Pirelli Verde 245/45r20 for £190 through tyre traders including fitting, and the guy was amazingly careful with my shadow chrome painted wheels. Dealer were wanting 400, ATS 290ish and black circles and etyres were wanting about 250 for the same tyre.

The 'gunk' is water soluble. I took my punctured tyre to a repair outlet that initially refused to repair it on the grounds that I had used the sealant. Luckily I had a Land Rover recovery chap with me who pointed out that the sealant is water soluble and they reluctantly washed it out and fixed it. Smile
