Long story short, I have to move from Germany back to the U.S., and my poor Evoque that I've owned for less than a year probably can't come with me.

I know it's a total long-shot, but is there ANY way I can have it modified to US specifications so I can take it with me? Is there such a thing? If not, I guess I'll have to sell it... CryingCryingCrying

I waited 6 months for my SD4, and now I may have to part ways with it.

Thanks all!
That's a bummer!
Yeah... I think I just saved myself the time after some lengthy research. Sure, it can be imported, but the taxes are huge, the respec cost is out of control, plus a $2000+ EPA emissions laboratory test.... this is all without including the cost to ship the vehicle.... Sad

Damn, time to put it up for sale... it will not be the last Evoque I ever own!!!

Where are you in Germany?
From what I have seen, Germany is a beautiful country.
Still trying to find a suitable way of gaining employment in Germany, where I can continue to speak English Wink
@Stadt: I'm just outside of Neunkirchen/Saar.
@harveyg77: Get a Federal job on Ramstein as a D.O.D. civilian!

Cheers
Hungrypilot.

A bit further south from me, I'm up in the Brit sector.

Was looking at taking my SD4 to the states as there was a possibility of getting a assignment to Washington.

I was told that the diesel stateside was of a poorer quality to that of Europe and that's why Land Rover don't offer the car in the US.
Why not get an Evoque in the US?

Well that will be the plan eventually... I just got so attached to the one I had, and only having it a short time makes it worse...
Hi all:

I've posted a for sale ad in the forums. If you (or any Euro buyers you know) are looking for a pristine SD4, please contact me. I need to sell soon, and it's beautiful vehicle that I know someone will be interested in.
