Hello all.
I've been plagued with rattles of all different sorts and most recently I think I finally tracked it down.
Due to the trnsmission of vibrations etc it was really just a fluke.
I knew it was somewhere in the back and to my amazement, I discovered that the rear compartment, that which houses the rear most speaker, and is essentially the trunk, is one piece. In my case, it was loose.
I went to the dealer in Sudbury MA, and he immediately resecured and insulated it.
It has made a huge difference.
So for any of you that are still struggling, just explore the rear assembly.
There are small plastci hooks beneath the shelf. Apply slight pressure and determine if they move outward. IN my case, the plastic pins were bent and the assembly did not sit correctly within the frame; hence the vibration.
Just a thought.
I know all too well how vibration noise and rattles can drive one to scream.
Ironically, I was reading in the Audi forum, how many new Audi Q5 owners had abandoned their Evoques as "rattle boxes". Personally, I think the Evoque has much greater character than the Audi.
Safe driving.
