Quite brief 2 page spread in the sunday times. They claim 18000 uk orders and 40000 globally.

Yes that is a lot ...... about 1% of all the new cars in the UK. Mind you Audi sold 100,000 cars in the UK last year so they won’t be THAT common..... and remember all the cars Audi sold in 2010 look like the ones they sold in 2009 .... so in a sea of look alike BMW Mercs and Audi's 18,000 won’t be too bad. I was just hoping for a bit of more exclusivity.

Did the Times give it a proper test? Was it Petrol or Diesel?

18,000 uk orders??

That can't be right. 18,000 people with £1000 deposits paid.

Some LR dealers I have spoken to maybe have 70 deposits taken max. Some more, some less.....

How may LR dealers in the UK?
I read somewhere 18000 orders worldwide...can't believe that is the number for uk.
More like 18,000 worldwide orders & 40,000 KMI. LR say what 75% of all there new cars are export. So 4,500 Evoques in the UK in the first 12months.

119 .... so approx 8300 deposits for the UK .... which sounds about right.
my dealer has well over 200 orders
