My Evoque went into production yesterday. Should be with me by the end of the month. The finance is in place, thanks to Chris at Prestige. Beat the dealer quote hands down. 1 phone call, 1 form filled in. Job done. Couldn't be easier.Smile

I did want to get it detailed but the local company I approached didn't even bother to get back to me so I might look at doing it myself. If anybody has any recommendations on what products are good for DIY I'd apreciate it or if you know a reliable detailer in the West Midlands Cool

I've ordered my tow bar and electrics already. What else should I look at? I need to keep myself occupied Laughing
Thank you Deaky and I hope you enjoy your car. As Deaky mentioned it is as easy as picking up the phone, filling in a form! More details can be found on our website http://www.prestigecarfinance.com or call me on 0845 070 1324.

Prestige Car Finance - We love Evoque's as much as you!
There's a thread named "Product Recommendations" which has very good info about detailing products.

Deaky.

Good to see another member satisfied with Prestige Finance, Chris does a good job, having done the business for our car, beating the dealer by a long way, he's now sorted my lad out with a new JCW Mini.

As far as detailing is concerned, cannot speak too high about GTechniq products, really pleased with them and quite popular with members on here, had never heard of them before coming onto this forum. They also have accredited detailers.
This is what I use after reading this forum and detailingworld:

Prewash: Magifoam or Valet Pro pH neutral snow foam, both very good
HD Snow Foam Lance, very satisfied with it
Wash: I have Valet Pro Poseidon Carnauba Wash on order... Will let you know the results but looks promising....
Exterior coating: Gtechniq C2, very satisfied with it
Wheels: Gtechnique C5 wheel armour, very satisfied with it
Iron X, very satisfied with it
Interior: Gtechniq W2 Universal Cleaner, very satisfied with it
Gtechniq L1 Leather Guard, very satisfied with it
Windows: Chemical Guys Streak Free, very satisfied with it

I also have Tar X but haven't needed it yet..

To use all of the above you'll also need:

A power washer for the snow foam lance
Microfibre buff clothes, minimum 5 but preferably a few more...
Microfibre drying towel, depending on which one you get 1 is enough (it is for me)
A washing mitt, preferably lamb wool, Meguiars are good...
A few empty spray bottles are nice to have...
A bucket... (preferably 2 but I get by with one...)

Still on the wish list are:

A trim restorer, I'll probably get the Gtechniq one...
A clay bar, Meguiars maybe?
A rotary polishing machine, looking at Makita 9227 CB as advised by Gtechniq...
Polish... once again Gtechniq
Some kind of wax
Moar buff clothes!!
The winning numbers of Euromillions...

Watch it because once you get into this stuff there is no way back... And it gets pricy very soon!

I'm not affiliated to any brand in any way...

Hope this helps

And did I mention that I have never washed my previous car (owned it for about 4 years), I never heard about detailing, Gtechniq or any other brand before I joined this forum?
Kimv, you must love your Evoque with all these pampering products on it!

What gave it away?? Smile

Anyway, yes. Of course most of those I didn't compare with other brands but I went with what most people who know much more about it than me, use and like. The products I listed did what I expected them to do and were easy to apply. So you could say that overall I'm very satisfied Wink
