Just had something of a surprise from my dealership:
Having been expecting the car to arrive some time towards the end of March/Beginning of April, I just had a call to say its arriving on tuesday or wednesday of next week.
It's great news, although I had been hoping to have it detailed by a local gtechniq specialist as opposed to being prepped by the dealership, and now I find that I'm giving him such short notice that he may tell me that he doesn't have time to do the job !
Which seems somewhat ironic.
And it gives me little time to sell the Disco (although I'm getting the Evoque on contract hire, so I dont actually NEED to sell it prior to picking up the new one).
so its loads of Very Happy but a wee bit of Sad
That's great news peet...I think you're the second today to have received news of an earlier than expected arrival!
thanks Martin
That is a very welcomed surprise, bet you are excited. Looking forward to some pics
Peet, it's great news that you will be getting your car earlier than expected.

This seems to be happening a lot recently and although it is great news it does cause some problems if you have a car to sell or finance to arrange.

Good luck with it though and enjoy your Evoque.
Does anyone know how, or if it is possible, to check if your car is on time, delayed, or even being built earlier than expected, without going through the dealership.

I also have a car to sell and really need to do this within the time frame given by the dealer. Don't want to rely on them if there is another way.
Does seem that a lot of build times are coming forward. I think by the new model year (sept) it will be down to a couple of months for RHD cars.
