Thanks blackseries, all sounds good.
Am off tonight for the 7.15pm
Just got back from NEC. My thoughts.....

Prestige v Pure
Although I have specced a Pure, I'm now a bit worried about the Pure leather. I think I might change to Pure Oxford leather or change to Prestige. The Pure leather is quite coarse, and rather 'shiny'. I think it will wear slightly better then Oxford but don't like the look of it.

Most vehicles on show had electric tailgate..Didn't think I would be bothered about it but after seeing it, think I will now add this.

Panoramic roof. Essential in my opinion. Looks great and the electric blind is fantastic. Gives an amazing sense of space

Dynamic, sports seats are great, but you loose quite a bit of leg room in the rear..

That's all for now.....
To those attending on Sunday, please try to get pics of roof blind. Thanks

Could you explain why you now want it?

will do, as long as the cars battery have'nt gone flat!
Plan on getting video of electric tail gate & roof blind.
The cars are plugged into the mains so the batteries should be ok

It's really cool! But more improtantly, my wife is pretty small, and the boot is relatively heavy for her..... In that respect it will be really useful.

Not clear if you can open it from the key though.....

More observations from the viewing.... You can't really tell much difference between the grille colour etc on Prestige v Pure.

Rear centre armrest is nice. Nice and high with drinks holders and a small closable compartment.

Front centre armrest compartment where the power socket lives is lined, no scratched iPhones here.....

Panoramic roof blind can be stopped where you want it. I.e it does not have to be fully open or closed.

Steering wheel feels lovely. Loads of buttons and gadgets!

Strangely, I thought I would prefer to look of the coupe, but I actually thought the 5 door looked better. It seemed to me that there was more interest in the 5 door.

Yes I will.

I'm going to the 12:30pm Sunday show, anyone else?

No, technically you only get to see one room. However if you want to see something specific in the next room they will escort you in. Hence you need to go armed with whats in the other room so you can ask to see it.
Because our room didn't have the 5 door Red Dynamic with the all black interior (which was one of my preferred options) and I knew there was one there...... I asked to see it.
Just got back as well. Fabulous show. Only concern was that the dynamic plus seats weren't as comfortable as I would have liked so may be reverting back but will think about this over the long weekend. At the moment it looks as if I will stick with the sports seats. The red exterior does look a lot better in the flesh and I was thinking about changing the car after a year or so but as my friend who came with me said,"the rest of the boys will be playing catch-up for the next few years". It looks like Range Rover have done it again and I may just be keeping it for a while. On another note - some stunning motors in the car park also. Smile

Its the one I've gone for. I would say its probably the most "Traditional" Range Rover interior. Warm and luxurious ..... but its very light. There has been mention on this forum that people don't like the wood options on the Evoque but I think in the Ambience that small strip makes all the difference - tying the dashboard top to the instrument panel. With the Panoramic roof the whole interior feels light and airy and very indulgent.

If you spec up a Pure with all the stuff that the Prestige has on it as standard - including stuff like the Bright Finish Tread Plates, Luxury Mats etc. Also take off £200 for the wood upgrade and the price of Metallic paint (which is included in the Prestige price) then the uplift is £1,802 from Pure to Prestige. Now this is only relevant if you were going to put all the Prestige equipment (or for that matter Dynamic) on your Pure - as I was. I still think this uplift is not great value for money and I agree with the comments made on this forum that come resale time in 4 - 5 years time used car buyers won't be able to differentiate between Pure and Prestige. However because it makes a big difference to me and the fact I can also get Magnaride and the Surround Cameras option (the icing on the cake) that is the route I have decided to go. I think the main benefit I saw with the cars at the NEC was the ability for one car to fulfil a multitude of needs and desires from one set of building blocks.

BTW I did ask the LR man about having a Dynamic exterior with the ambience interior – for a start he finished off my question for me – which implies a lot of other people have asked the same question he then went on to explain that each theme had been meticulously designed and therefore no mix and matching would be allowed – he got a bit cross – which I thought was a bit of an odd reaction. I always thought the customer was right – but obviously not when it comes to the Evoque......
