When did you order yours if you don't mind me asking? We ordered ours June 2011 and have been told May 2012! Hope they turn round and say it's ready sooner...

just my local dealer, noting special, sounds like you have been sold a totally dummy by someone, i didn't order until late august. Ordering in June should have given you a slot in Jan when the Ed's started build !. I find it hard to believe your dealer had enough orders in june to push you into may 2012 !, that is very surprising.

Ours is a leased car so not sure how the order gets placed in comparison to a dealer order. Presumably the bigger leasing companies would deal with JLR direct?

Either way I might chase the leasing company (zenith) though to pull their finger out...!

Zenith would order cars from preferred dealers, i.e. the ones that will provide them with the best discounts, they would not deal with LR directly. They do tend to use the bigger dealerships. It may be worthwhile you asking Zenith which dealership they are using - they should provide this information - and contact them directly yourself.

Ah ok, with lease i guess they had no build slots until then, i thought you had gone into a dealer and they had just told you May !.

Ended up speaking with Zenith. Lancaster LR will be supplying the car. They get different allocations depending as to whether fleet or personal purchase, the latter having more allocation hence the long wait from a June 11 order. Just got be patient. Can't complain really as we've got such a good deal. I'm just getting impatient when I see everyone getting theirs on the forum!
