I know there's the dual-view screen with TV tuner, but can that play DVDs?

And if one doesn't opt for these extras, can you still play a DVD on the touchscreen?
I asked that same question at Evoque Live today and the RR person didn't know!! What I do know is that the range rover web site under the options lists the dual screen as enabling the passenger to watch a dvd or tv while the driver sees the satnav but I'm not sure which combination of options this would require. The options are still baffling me!

The TV tuner is a separate option to the dual-view screen.

My interpretation of all the audio/screen options is you'll need to spec HDD premium navigation system (087AA) to be able to play DVDs; it comes with the dual-view screen.

The rr web site did say that the hdd sat nav system plays cd's & dvd's. I asked this to my dealer. He wasn't sure, but said only when the twin view screen is fitted.
Strange, in Belgium we can choose the HDD sat nav system WITHOUT the twin view screen.
Would this mean there's no DVD function then?

I don't see why they would leave it out. My current Lexus doesn't have twin view but it does play DVD's (only when you're not driving).
I've chosen that in the UK - HDD navigation without the dual-view screen. Surely though, if the satnav uses a hard drive, then it won't have a DVD drive...?
It will surely a cd/dvd slot, right? How are you going to pump things onto the HDD?
USB?
So I have to rip my cd's, put them on a stick and transfer them via USB? Quite a hassle.
As far as I know, the ripping is done by the HDD system, so you insert the cd once and afterwards you can take it out and play it from the HDD.
There is a cd slot ( no tape deck!!!).
