My wife and I just bought a used 2018 Evoque SE. So far we absolutely love it. However it didn't come with the navigation SD card in the center console. It was a former rental vehicle and I'm guessing the rental company removed it as they seem to do so they can charge more for navigation. That card apparently was never returned to the car from the rental company.

According to my local Land Rover dealer the cards are VIN specific and a ridiculous amount of money to the tune of $400. It seems like a lot of functions are limited without it.

Any experience or advice on how to handle this from anyone?
I think you can get them on Ebay... But you're right, they're VIN locked
