			| will aftermarket oil filter void warranty?

My 2nd service is due and I am going to ask my LR mechanic friend to help me privatelyI am thinking to use Mobil1 synthetic oil with either K&N or Mobil1 Oil filter
but I was told that it is best to stay with OEM oil filter while the car is still under warranty or else it will get void.

is it true? should I get aftermarket oil filter or stay OEM

For the factory warranty you need to use genuine land rover service parts and have to have proof of this, so keep any receipts for the parts.

As well as genuine service parts you also need to ensure that any oil used is of the correct specification. ![[Image: EvoqueOilSpecs_zpsebeb41ca.jpg]](http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r542/YoungOldUn/EvoqueOilSpecs_zpsebeb41ca.jpg)

It should go without saying to use the correct type of oil but definitely go for a genuine dealer part. This can be done at any independent garage. Your warranty will be fine. Obviously, keep any evidence of work done and ensure service booklet is up-to-date.
