what happens if the dealer has to do a reset say for an update etc does this wipe out the remap

There are a couple of members on here that have gone down the remap route, and there are a number of post discussing this.

My guess is that an update may wipe out your remap but that is a topic you would need to discuss with whoever you get it done with.

A dealer PCM or engine ecu software upgrade will wipe off any remap you have done, depending on who your remap would be from will depend on if they offer a free reinstall or not if its wiped by a dealer.
