received VIN Number, what does that mean?

Hey folks, i just got the mail from my LR dealer with the contract and expected delivery(1/13).

I was wondering because my car actually has a vin number that is mentioned in the contract at the beginning.

If my car has a expected build date at the beginning of december, why it actually has a vin number?

The vin has 12 numbers is that correct? So is the car already planed in?

Hopefully someone has some informations about the vin number an it's meaning?

P.S. Hmm I think it's no vin, because this number is shorter, so what number this might be? It's a FIN Number?

Maybe it is just a internal number for my car given by th dealer it looks like this: XX-XXXXXXXX-XX

The VIN only becomes available once the car is in build, so not a VIN number if it's not being built yet.

Can't help with what it actually is though.

Hi thx, I think it is just an internal vin number by the dealer that belongs to my contract.

I was too optimistic.
