LED counsel dome light 2014 PURE

I opened up the new style LED dome light and the lens came off, now the touch sensor lights do not work. LR does not part out the lens or the light as a whole. At this time LR replacement for the dome curtously light and the map lights is to buy the complete overhead counsel for $500. Any ideas?

Any update on this? I accidentally break the clear lens too!! Now the touch sensitive isn't working like ohevoque mentioned. Anyway to fix it? Update pls. Thanks In advance!!

first question is are the lights actually working at all?
Theres obviously a trick to opening them up as others have changed the bulbs.
Im waiting for a new delivery and was hoping to use coloured leds but based on your experiance ill either wait or put it off completely.

If the lights are working then the switch unit may be on a different circuit. Could be worth checking all the fuses in case one has blown.

I don't know the diff between the 2013 or older VS 2014 or 2015. But mine as 2015 they used led already. But put out only around 4300k to 5000k in color. I wanted to replace it with 8000k. The lens actually had 3 contact pins. Carefully remove the lens otherwise u easily break those contact pins. Then the sensitive touch will not work. Dealer actually can't fix it. They replace my whole roof map lights. The whole unit with speaker or mic. So I guess isn't worth to replace those leds the best bet is take off the whole unit. Also if u plan just to take off the lens. Make sure don't leave any mark that u pry the lens. Otherwise dealer won't honor any damaged. 500+ to replace the whole map light at dealer. Parts is 275 then labor around another 250+

I used plastic when I pry the lens. So I don't leave any mark. Dealer honor and replaced the whole map light unit for free. But when I look at the cost. It was 580.xx dollars here in USA.

And also dealer don't just sell the clear plastic lens. They only offer the whole unit.

Sounds like a mod thats not worth doing as the same unit is fitted in the MY16

Yeah I agree. We just bought our MY15 couple of weeks ago. Do u know what is diff between 15 and 16? Just wonder.
