What is this device?

On the right side of the interior mirror is a plastic box.

It does not seem to be an optical sensor.

Isn't it the sensor for the auto wipers & lights

I don't tink so, see the attached image:

1. Mirror dimming sensor
2. auto wipers sensor
3. Auto Hi beam sensor
4. ????? It's covered by the black strip, so it's not optical!

does it control the sprinkler system.
