What is the list price of the Prestige SD4 auto?

My delayed evoque has arrived at the dealer's - hurray!

However, after questioning, I've finally received my itemised invoice which reads as follows:

Now, my understanding of the retail price of this model from the RR website is that it's £38 990 OTR.

Dealer rep not available this pm, will check with her in the morning but team - what do you make of this, is there any reasonable way they could have arrived at this figure?

You're correct £38,990 OTR for standard 5dr auto with metallic. I have my quote right in front of me ...

That price of over £42K must be inclusive of all the options except the LUX pack.

Thanks, that's reassuring - its a sales rep who is new so I'm assuming she got it wrong.

Some error though! So far it hasn't exactly been a trouble free-purchase!

I wondered that, but that would be £42 274 - £2 223 (the other extras) = £40 051, which still doesn't make sense.

I missed off the total price she quoted which was £49 144.17, which was about £3 600 more than I was expecting.

It looks wrong and I fully expect them to agree tomorrow morning but I just wondered if I'd missed something obvious.

I've just got it to £45105, but couldn't find the climate controlled heated windscreen, even so this comes nowhere near £49+k.

£42274 is a long way off of the basic car price of £38990.

I'd be querying this tomorrow, what does your original invoice say?

If it's any help the VAT in the "Vehicle Price" row is correct for a base. Looks like the ex vat price has been over inflated by £3604.19 which just happens to be the cost of the lux pack excl VAT on the last row.

They're trying to charge you for the lux pack twice

Thanks, I couldn't make it add up either.

This is the first invoice I've had - lesson learned for not pressing harder earlier.

The salesman who first took the order back in June didn't send an invoice, but then sent the order document showing the build date which at the time seemed more important. He was a bit disorganised, then left the dealership, who then were not proactive in communicating.

I'm pretty sure its a simple error from someone who is new in post but you can imagine I'll want it sorted out pronto tomorrow!

Brilliant thanks, that must be the error - well spotted! That does all add up. I was looking for something like that but didn't see it.

I'll ring them tomorrow with some advice!

Just have them deduct £3604.18 from the "Vehicle Price" that's currently on your paperwork and get them to throw in some mudflaps for free for nearly giving you a heart attack on the price

Get your spec sheet for the car which is being delivered and then get them to reconfigure it on their system in your presence, then go from there.

Those figures do not add up and should not add up unless there are some items on there which you have not specified.

They may even have some form of electronic record of your original order.
