What is it with the Panoramic roof

I just dont get why so many people pay £800 for a piece of glass you cant actually see out of if your sat in the front seats, which suprisingly is where I will be sat every time I get in the car.
Also how durable will it be after a while if you want to "off road" a bit
Sorry for the rant but I just dont see the point

For me it's the sense of space and light. It also gives you more headroom

I originally wasn't convinced either as the glass starts quite far back. Really pleased I ordered it now though as it makes the whole car more airy..and somehow makes it feel a bit more special. I did manage to get it at the original price though.

RE: What is it with the Panoramic roof

One of the reasons I didnt opt for it was the thought of flexing and cracking with it being such a huge part of the roof. Havnt there already been reports of cracking problems

RE: What is it with the Panoramic roof

I think you will find people got the option to let light in rather than to see out. Also initailly it was only £390 so worth while having Smile

RE: What is it with the Panoramic roof

Sence of space and light and airy did it for me, and I only paid £460 for mine so was worth it for me!

RE: What is it with the Panoramic roof

There was one report of a single crack in a single pre production car. A complete non issue. In my mind the panoramic roof is a must have option. People love the light and the view.

Arrived: SD4 Prestige Auto Coupe with Lux pack. Ipanema Sand with Black Panoramic Roof
Ambience Interior with Macassa wood.

Now a Jag XFR Kyanite Blue - wow what power.
At home and superb.
