Following on from my Park Assist success this morning, I went to the bank, browsed a few shop windows, picked up a coffee and then walked back to the car.

I have keyless entry, but used the fob from about 10 yards away….Nothing.

I tried again and then used the lock followed by an unlock….Still nothing.

I then walked to the driver’s door and pressed my thumb on the handle to unlock the car….Nothing.

At this point, I was reaching inside my wallet for the LR assist card, when I glanced inside the car and noticed that it was an auto….Mine is a manual!

OK, now I looked back up the street and my Evoque was parked about four cars back from this identical white one…. I smiled and with my head down hastily got into the correct car.
