Tuner for 2.0L (Petrol) Ecoboost ECU

The Evoque RR tries to adjust engine/throttle response, chassis and brakes for mud, snow, sand, rough terrain, etc for environmental conditions. Woildn't this sort of tuning override the assumptions in the off-road/terrain programming - reducing it's effectiveness?

A bit scary having to send in the ECU physically...
