RE: Top Gear

I have been waiting for this episode for a quite a while now, but despite their positive upbeat review earlier in the year I'm hoping nothing is found 'in their opinion' as being to negative as I don't want this episode to dent my ego or confidence!!

My car is ordered and expected 15th November, much earlier than anticipated.

Arrived 22nd December - SD4 Dynamic Auto, Fuji White, Panoramic/Contrast Roof, Dynamic Plus & Lux Pack

You have to remember Top Gear is first and foremost an entertainment show (not a car show) ..... wherever in the world they did the testing on the Evoque the "story" will have been written long before they ever drove the car - so even if they do a hatchet job (which I hope they don't) don't let it spoil your enjoyment of your new car .... the flip side is I seem to remember they did a rave review of the Citroen C6 - and when was the last time you saw one of those. Also nobody buys a Mercedes SLS because Jeremy Clarkson loves it ...... believe me!

SD4 Prestige Sport Auto 5 Door, Sumatra Black with Ambience interior, Magneride AD, 20" Style 6 Wheels, Panoramic Roof, Surround Cameras, Electric Tailgate, ADRVM.......& Heated Steering Wheel......Gorgeous

However, in the back of the July Top Gear, as always, they list all the makes, models, prices etc and give them a rating ... and in the July edition they have already included the Evoque and give all the derivatives 16/20 - thus making it the highest scoring LR/RR !! A good start !

The FFRR actually got 17

Thanks for the posting! It's wierd but they have listed th fastest speed (0-60) for the diesels as 9.5 seconds. I thought it it was 8.1 seconds? Perhaps this speed is for the manual and not the automatics.
