RE: To Roof Rail...or not to Roof Rail...that is the question.

Thanks Westy and Mark, leaves me undecided, as not wanting to put rails on for the small amount of time I might need them. Have to make do with seats folded down... which makes me realise I havent tried that yet! Probably going to seem a fuss after the Kari Kuri seats in the Mazda... 1 lever the whole lot folds flat

RE: To Roof Rail...or not to Roof Rail...that is the question.

As promised, here are pictures of the OEM black roof rails installed. Like I said when I started this thread, I had never seen an Evoque with the OEM roof rails installed, so I was definitely hesitant to do so.

I can't stress enough how pleased I am that I decided to install them - they really complement the overall look of the vehicle. As with anything, it all comes down to a matter of personal taste (so I'm certain not everyone will like how they look), but after having installed them I now feel the Evoque looked "incomplete" when it didn't have them - take a look at the "before" pictures of my Evoque when I started this thread and you will see what I mean. By the way, they are hardly noticeable from inside and do not interfere at all with the open-air feeling the pano roof provides.

If you've been thinking about installing roof rails and remain undecided, trust me: They are definitely worth it.

Great images. Thanks for posting. And if we add......

....we have a pretty definitive view of all things Thule!

Roof rails vs non roof rails
LR cross bars vs Thule cross bars(aero, square & slide)
Thule official fitting kit vs Thule kit that we know will fit!
U clamps vs claw.

And then a tow bar fitting as well!

Nice up on the photos. I think the non roof rails look fine to me. The also have the benefit of being removed completely if not in use. Im prob go down this path.
