Thule kit 1633 anyone?
on the Thule website, it says it is possible to install a load bar system on an Evoque even without the roof rails. You can see this using their fit guide. The system i got basically uses a Thule 480R + Kit 1663 + ARB53 load bars.
I went to a local Thule distributor And we tried this fit kit and the rubber boot that came with this kit matches perfectly on the metal part of the roof (i have a pano roof). The dealer was also kind enough to check with Thule if it is guaranteed to work with a Evoque with a pano roof. Unfortunately, the Thule guy was not sure himself as he said he is "85% sure it works".
Has anyone else tried this?

The 3 Thule parts you need for an Evoque without roof rails are:
754 Foot pack
1663 Fitting kit
762 square (black) bars OR 962 wing bars OR 892 slide bars
and optionally the 544 locks.
This combination fits cars either with or without the panoramic roof.
Arrived - SD4 Prestige, 5 door, manual in Orkney Grey with Element interior. Style 4 wheels, spare wheel & auto-dimming rear view mirror.
Joining MX-5 2.0i convertible.
