TD4 to Twin Exhaust - Conversion Completed
Apart from detuning, is this the only main point of difference between the SD4 &TD4 that people have come across (noting that BAS says most part numbers are the same)

Does this kind of mod affect warranty?

@ RichardW66
Did you put on different tyres or are those in the pics the ones that came out standard?

RE: TD4 to Twin Exhaust - Conversion Completed
Twin exhaust looks very cool!
I want to do the same with my RRE Pure TD4.
I was advised to buy:
- LR026328 TOWING HOOK COVER DUAL EXH EVOQUE (G)
- LR045428 MUFFLER - REAR(G)
- VPLVB0107 KIT - EXHAUST FINISHER(G)
Does anyone know a complete list of original parts with part numbers? Is my list correct?

(13-12-2012 03:13pm)RichardW66 Wrote: Well, 9 months ago I ordered my Evoque, and with much enthusiasm waited (not always) patiently for the info from the dealer regarding build date etc. I joined this forum, searched the Net for pictures, videos and articles on the Evoque to familiarise myself with the car.
Then, about two months before the car’s due date I realised that the TD4 Evoque I ordered only had a single exhaust and it was only the SD4 diesel models that had the twin exhaust.
Well it was a trivial and possibly minor difference and certainly not one where I felt the need to spend the extra money to “upgrade” from the TD4 to the SD4. (Oh yes, I did give it some SERIOUS thought, but common sense prevailed.)
However when the car arrived, as great as it was and, as much as I enjoyed driving it, the rear bumper with just the one tail-pipe felt unbalanced. It niggled at me and so I did what any idiot would do, I changed the exhaust box from a single exhaust to a twin exhaust for less than £550.00 fitted and now I am even more happy with the look of the Evoque from behind…..

Does look much better, but for an extra £450, you could of had the Sd4 rather than a modification that will devalue your car, crazy!!

Unfortunately our dealers sell both TD4 and SD4 with only one pipe. Two pipes are available with the most expensive configuration (Dynamic, square pipes) or with the most expensive engine (Si4, round pipes). But I prefer diesel with round pipes.

RE: TD4 to Twin Exhaust - Conversion Completed
Is it possible to purchase and install just the plastic cover, and a set of bigger exhaust finishers so one is for the existing left pipe, and the second one is double tapped/glued/bolted/fixed to the right cover without welding or replacing the real exhaust?
So from behind, it looks like 2 pipes but only 1 functional?[/align]
