Snow in the Peak District

Just a few photos from the Peak District two days ago; found an unpaved byway open to all traffic across Houndkirk Moor and drove about 2km in the snow (red X to red X on map below) before deciding to turn back - it became pretty rough-looking and I had my wife and 18-month-old in the car, with no other vehicles around.

The Adaptive Dynamics did a great job making the ride comfortable, and the 19" Pirelli Scorpion Verde M+S tyres seemed to cope okay, although they were slipping at times, especially when doing a 5-point turn to go back the way I'd come. I'd still want proper winter tyres if I were driving much on snow.

Hill Descent Control is great too, even though it's not on by default in Snow/Grass/Gravel mode.
