Well the tax has to come from somewhere and I assume you quite like the largely free of charge medical care, education and other government provided services you and your families receive. Very different in the US where the gulf between rich and poor is much wider than here. Call it socialism or social democracy but we have a fairer society. The abject poverty and deprivation in some areas of the US has to be seen to be believed.

I pay far more tax than most but am happy to do so - and not try to avoid it - as my contribution.
